Do You Know It?

The Bible teaches that God's will has been revealed to man. It is stated in Romans 16:25-26 “Now to him who is able to strengthen you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery that was kept secret for long ages but has now been disclosed and through the prophetic writings has been made known to all nations, according to the command of the eternal God, to bring about the obedience of faith” It is also stated in Ephesians 3:1-5 “For this reason I, Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles—assuming that you have heard of the stewardship of God's grace that was given to me for you, how the mystery was made known to me by revelation, as I have written briefly. When you read this, you can perceive my insight into the mystery of Christ, which was not made known to the sons of men in other generations as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit.”
So, the Bible is God's revelation to man. The word "reveal" is a translation of the verb apokalupto which means "to uncover, lay open what has been veiled or covered up; to disclose, make bare: . . . to make known, make manifest, disclose, what before was unknown" (Joseph H. Thayer, A Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament, p. 62). If the Bible is a revelation of God's will, as it claims to be, it must be fitted to man's capacity for understanding in order to fit the definition of the word "reveal." Paul tells Timothy that the scripture is God-breathed in 2 Tim. 3:16. The point is that we can Know God's Word which is His will.
The Scriptures relate that man can know God’s revealed will. Paul charged, “ understand what the will of the Lord is" (Eph. 5:17). Has God commanded the impossible of us? If not, then man must be able to know the Lord's will. He earlier had stated that man could Know God's revelation through reading what had been written by the apostles and prophets (Eph. 3:1-5). The Scriptures demonstrate that a man can know & understand God's revelation to man. The very purpose of writing the Bible was to enable man to understand God's will for man. Do you know it?
